Mission

We are looking for a Layer Specialist to work in Salto (SP) within our central Research and Development team. You will be part of the Global Genetics Team and will play a key role in ensuring that our layer improvement programs are of the highest quality. Your responsibility within the R&D Team will be to collect material and data from our customers for further analysis, ensuring that the quality of our product is always at a high level. In addition, you will contribute to the global R&D team’s research activities aimed at improving our breeding programs.

Profile

• Degree in Veterinary Science or Zootechnics.
• Master’s or PhD in Animal Genetic Improvement or Animal Production or Animal Science.
• Proven understanding of quantitative genetics and basic knowledge of data analysis.
• Programming skills in R.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• A good knowledge of genetics and working with large-scale data is a plus.
