Description

• Support the soy and corn breeders on breeding deployment program including hands-on phenotypic and genetic analysis.
• Manage breeding germplasm inventory: coordinating seed exchange, sourcing experiments, planning the need of new inventory and discards, and maintaining information systems updated.
  Continuous learning of new technology adaptation and efficient work processes.
• Evaluate field experiments and collaborate to have a phenotyping of excellence.
• Supervise assigned projects.
• Plan new experiments and tasks with research manager and breeder support.
• Work with EZ Leads to review testing pipeline and future breeding strategy to identify go-forward product concepts.
• Work with other departments to understand available movement of newly converted parents to enter in the testing pipeline.
• Interact with co-working groups (internal and external).
• Engage in the Safety Program, meeting legal requirements and the company’s internal policies, also motivating colleagues in this direction.
• Perform administrative tasks related to estimation of demand and management of resources and control these resources within an expected timeline by effectively working on a multi-departmental group.

Qualifications

• PhD in Plant Breeding, Genetics or similar.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Skills and talent to deal with tight deadlines and fast data turn around.
• Advanced English skills.
• Computer systems (including Windows applications).
• Field experience desirable.
• Knowledge in genetics, plant breeding, statistics, and molecular biology.
• Knowledge of statistical software R or Phyton.
• Ability to analyze phenotypic and genotypic data.
• Driver license category B or higher.
• Available for traveling.
• Live in Toledo/PR or Cascavel/PR.
